Membership Intake Guidelines

These membership intake guidelines were set by the Truman State University National Pan-Hellenic Council. These regulations are followed by all of the member organizations on this campus.

Membership Intake Process guidelines are established by each individual organization and shall stand unless they conflict with Truman State University policy.

NPHC strictly opposes any forms of hazing. Therefore, no chapter shall conduct hazing activities.

Hazing activities are defined as:
An act which endangers the mental or physical health or safety of a student, or which destroys or removes public or private property, for the purpose of initiation or admission into, affiliation with, or continued membership in a student organization. Hazing also includes any additional acts in the definition of hazing by Missouri Law, which is currently set forth in Section 578.360, Revised Statutes of Missouri.

All accusations of hazing shall be reported to the NPHC advisor who will handle the situation according to University policy.
